Welcome to twennyten. Well, it`s been a while since we`ve posted but lots of things have been going on here at Scotty`s and I`m going to tell you all about them!

Last year, we took some steps to spice up our website, with professional photos of the newly renovated rooms and facilities and some funky You tube clips of the fun and relaxation that Scotty`s is famous for. It offers a far better understanding of what a REAL Mission Beach experience is all about! We are still tinkering with format and will soon have a live weather feed to give you a real-time insight into our  local weather conditions.

Our unbeatable atmosphere has remained the same as the years have rolled by ( all 22 of them), as has our attention to our wonderful guest`s needs. We are just re-opening our communal bathrooms after a total rebuild: they are truly unique in style and offer all that today’s traveler could ask for (pictures on-line soon….). They compliment the renovation of all our accommodation over the last 3 years; all rooms are air-conditioned, with comfy, bug proof mattresses and tubular beds. Even the 24 hour Media room is air-conditioned!

These  modern amenities, our awesome staff and our amazing  pool and garden area have earned Scotty`s the 2010 Hostelbookers Award for Excellence for best atmosphere, as well as making the top 5 Queensland  finalists in last years Golden Backpacker Awards for Best Hostel. Depending entirely on you, the adventure traveller, these acknowledgments of what we constantly strive to achieve are the greatest reward we at Scotty`s could ask for.
